Empire Place in Cotton Couture
Last but certainly not least is the Empire Place quilt I made using solids and black & white prints. I used Michael Miller's extensive line of Cotton Couture solids and assorted Black & White prints to make this quilt and I love how it turned out! I may have even fussy-cut some little elephants for the center of the Accent blocks.
Bubba Bowling Bag in Birds & Bees
I just realized that I hadn't share all the fun projects we made for last Quilt Market in Minneapolis. Slowly but surely I am going to share all of them with you =]
Quilt Market in Minneapolis
As many pattern and fabric companies begin their journeys to International Quilt Market in Minneapolis, we are staying put. This will be the first time since we began Sassafras Lane Designs that we will not be attending and I am having mixed feelings about it.
Park Place in Bright Batiks
My grandma, MaryEllen, is the one who got both my Mom and I into quilting. She is one of the biggest supporters of Sassafras Lane and a constant inspiration. She tests our patterns for us and always comes up uniquely amazing color combinations and quilts.
Fall Quilt Market Sneak Peek
I am writing this blog post from an uncomfortable airplane seat somewhere over Nevada or Utah. You know what that means! The Sass girls will both be back in the Orange Studio getting ready for Quilt Market. We will be previewing 4 new patterns in Houston and can't wait to share them with you! Here is a little sneak peek of what we have been up to!
Shelby Satchel in Remix & Sale Announcement!
We made another Shelby Satchel in Ann Kelle's Remix fabric collection. We chose a black & white triangle print for the flap, a white dot on lime for the bag body and an aqua oval print for the accent! I love working Kelle's fabrics.
Introducing the Shelby Satchel!
We have tons of Quilt Market projects to share, but first we have to officially introduce two more patterns! The first up is the Shelby Satchel, our new fun crossover messenger style bag. The bag contains two front pockets, two back pockets, one zipped coin pocket and one padded tablet pocket. This versatile bag finishes at 11.5” x 9” x 2” and is perfect for men and women.
Hex-a-doodle Magazine Feature
Today I am sharing a quilt that is being featured in Quiltmaker's May/June '14 issue! They coined this quilt Hex-a-doodle! It is made with triangles and half-hexagons, so there are no tricky y-seams!
Euclid Avenue in Batiks & Sale Announcement
It is no secret that we have quite the batik stash. So, when we made a second Euclid Avenue quilt to test the pattern, we dove into our stack of batiks. We chose similar colors to the cover quilt, but rearranged the placement to show how different the quilt can look!
Introducing Euclid Avenue!
Say hello to Euclid Avenue! This is a super quick, easy and fun foundation pieced quilt with endless possibilities! Depending on the fabric placement, Euclid Avenue can take on any personality! The pattern also has three sizes included to make your life easier!
