Empire Place in Me+You Batiks

Empire Place in Me+You Batiks

We are well on our way with Empire Place week! Today we are sharing this striking version made with Hoffman California's new branch of modern batiks, Me+You. They are a fresh new take on batiks and they have hand dyed solids! We couldn't resist and Kristy made an Empire Place with them!
Rex's Lullaby Lane Quilt

Rex's Lullaby Lane Quilt

We all love an adorable baby quilt photo and they don't get much cuter than this one! This is Aaron Hoffman's (of Hoffman California Fabrics) newest little man, Rex, looking all kinds of precious on his Lullaby Lane quilt.
Quilt Market in Minneapolis

Quilt Market in Minneapolis

As many pattern and fabric companies begin their journeys to International Quilt Market in Minneapolis, we are staying put. This will be the first time since we began Sassafras Lane Designs that we will not be attending and I am having mixed feelings about it.

Mulholland Drive in Cockateil

Mulholland Drive in Cockateil

We have another fun Quilt Market project to hare with you today! We made this Mulholland Drive quilt to be featured in the Hoffman California Fabrics booth. This quilt features Cockatiel batiks and we absolutely love how it turned out; it is so different from any of our other versions! The quilt finished 52” x 70” - the perfect size to throw over your couch.
Cooper Carry-All in Bali Batiks

Cooper Carry-All in Bali Batiks

We are big batik fans in this household. Rich color, minimum raveling, gorgeous texture. Oh la la! I could go all day. Hoffman Fabrics graciously sent us a Splash Bali Pop and some matching yardage to make a Cooper Carry-All for our booth at Quilt Market in Houston.

Quilt Market in Houston - Our Projects

Quilt Market prep was a whirlwind. We made a few projects that were displayed around Quilt Market in other booths. Here are the projects we had scattered around. It was fun to make the same pattern multiple times in different fabric lines.
Wiley Way in Bali Batiks

Wiley Way in Bali Batiks

Today I am sharing a fun version of our Wiley Way pattern made up in Hoffman's new batiks! I love how the color sweeps from light green down to purple. This is a slight variation from our original pattern. I used two different background fabrics instead of just one.
