Quilt Market in Pittsburgh Take 2
Our first Quilt Market post was all about our booth, but we thought you might like to see and hear about more than that! I have finally gone through the rest of our Quilt Market photos and compiled them into two posts. So here is the first post full of amazing booths, awesome people and photos from around Pittsburgh!
The Dear Stella booth - always adorable! And full of pillows (so tempting during Market)
Top: Jessica Stern looking adorable in her handmade dress in the Dear Stella booth. Bottom Left: Oh that is us hanging out by our Prism Parkway and Shelby Satchel. Bottom Right: They had an adorable Dress Me Up contest going on!
The Cotton + Steel booth - they had fabric this time and it was worth the hype!
Top Left: They won best New Exhibitor booth! Top Right: I caught most of the team on their cell phones! Bottom Right: Pretty swatch wall blowing in the wind. The Rest: Fabric I am going to need to buy!
We found this neat mural painted on a building pretty close to the Convention Center of a futuristic city.
June Dudley from Quiltmaker magazine stopped by to see the booth and say hello!
Jen Fox Studios' booth - Jen was right around the corner from us! She has a new line, Nomad, for P&B Textiles. She is a complete sweetheart and we went out for dinner and drinks and got to know her a little bit!
Top: Jen Fox in her adorable booth. I love her creative flooring idea! Bottom Left: 3D triangles to show off her fabric line! Bottom Right: A table runner made using one of Jen's stencils and a running stitch.
Random smattering of fun things around Pittsburgh!
Top Left: Posing for a photo in Moda's photo booth station! Top Right: Posing next to my DSTT Challenge mini quilt in the Sneak Peek area. Middle Left: We got Badass Quilter buttons! Middle Right & Bottom Left: Pretty bridges at night. Bottom Right: Hanging out with Nichole and Elisabeth from Robert Kaufman in Ann Kelle's booth.
Carolyn Friedlander's booth - always one of my favorites! Her photo wall and quilt ladders were just begging to come home with me! She used three antique ironing boards put together for her table. Too cute!
The Birch Fabrics booth - these ladies are so creative and awesome!
Top: The amazing booth. Left: Hey! That is our Shelby Satchel looking mighty cute with that little boy outfit! Middle Right: I am in love with these Pantone chairs! Bottom Right: Handmade (and re-fluffed after being packed and shipped) flowers!
The Michael Miller booth - these crazy kids always go big for their booth. This year was no exception; they put a life-size garden in the middle of their booth, complete with a working fountain. (I failed to get a decent photo, but here is one)
Top Left: Our Lombard Street in Modern Basics. Top Right: Our Churndash Court in Kiss Dots! Bottom Left: Euclid Avenue made by Juli Kieny in Houndstooth and Friends. Bottom Right: Our Shelby Satchel made with leftover Houndstooth and Friends fabric.
I ran into the amazing Gudrun Erla of GE Designs early one morning before the show opened.
Alright! That was round one. Be sure to stop back by tomorrow to see some more of Quilt Market through our eyes! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!
