Arcadia Avenue - Film Strips (block 9)

Last week was a super fun week here in Boulder. Todd's family came out for a visit and got to meet my parents and sister. We went hiking, went to a Rockies game, ate good food and got spend some quality family time. It was great!

Not-so-helpful Help

Some times I need help getting photos of sewn projects. Last week was one of those times. I had just finished my Arcadia Avenue block 8, the sun was about to set and I needed a photo to put in the blog post (going up the next morning, yes I procrastinated!).

New Exciting Chapter

Introducing Canyon Boulevard

Our next new Spring pattern is Canyon Boulevard. This is a super versatile pattern that is fast and fun. The pattern includes two different styles, one with string-piecing and two contrasting fabrics and one with a background and assorted scraps. Both versions are pictured below.

We are a day late but not a dollar short today! I hope everyone enjoyed their long holiday weekend. We sure did! Caught up on some things around the house, did a little sewing and cooked lots of summery food.

Park Place in Bright Batiks

My grandma, MaryEllen, is the one who got both my Mom and I into quilting. She is one of the biggest supporters of Sassafras Lane and a constant inspiration. She tests our patterns for us and always comes up uniquely amazing color combinations and quilts.
