Paradox Point QAL - Block 7

Paradox Point QAL - Block 7

Spring has sprung! This is one of my favorite times of the year. It is finally warm enough to dust off those shorts and frolic outdoors before it gets hot! I just spent the weekend camping and hiking around Moab, so I am feeling refreshed and invigorated creatively.

Pillows are fun and are popping up everywhere, I mean who doesn’t need a good throw pillow or two or 6 on their couch or bed!?

Paradox Point QAL - Block 6

Today marks the half-way point of our Paradox Point Quilt Along! We are on our 6th block and we love seeing your creations! If anyone was at QuiltCon a couple weekends ago, they may have seen the Paradox Point quilt Kristy made hanging up in the Hoffman California Fabrics booth! I will see if I can hunt down some photos. 12 Different Ways to Cut a Fat-Quarter

If you are like me, you collect fat-quarters of your favorite fabric lines. I can't always justify buying multiple yards of an entire line, but a fat-quarter bundle, I can usually manage! These are usually my favorite pieces of fabric and I hoard them until the perfect project comes around.

Paradox Point QAL - Block 5

I can't believe we are already almost through February. 2017 has been a fun year so far. I usually hibernate and create all winter long, but our weather has been a giant tease and we have had a couple weeks of 60-70 degree days. I have been working on some secret sewing and I can't wait to share it with you. Until then, the Paradox Point QAL is rolling along - before we dive into the blocks, we have a little announcement.
Hootsville Row Pattern Hack Pillow

Hootsville Row Pattern Hack Pillow

Hootsville Row is a fun wall-hanging pattern that features 9 adorable owls with big peering eyes! These little guys take a little bit to trace, cut, fuse and appliqué down. So, for a quicker and still adorable option, make one owl and turn it into a pillow! That is exactly what my Mom did as a gift for her niece's birthday.

Unraveling the Mysteries of Interfacing

Unraveling the Mysteries of Interfacing

So, you've purchased a new bag pattern and it calls for interfacing, now what? Interfacing is used to add body to your project - clothes and bags alike! For the most part interfacing is a matter of personal preference. Do you want your bag to have structure and stand up on its own? Or, do you want it to be soft and drapable?
