Quilt Market 2017 Recap - I Spy With My Sassy Eye
I really wanted to play "I Spy with my Sassy Eye" while we were walking around the Quilt Market floor the morning before the show opened. But, like always, my grand plans wash away when we get busy - a good problem to have! We did manage to snap some quick photos and I am going to share them now. Some projects were made by us and others were complete surprises!
Quilt Market 2017 Recap - The Booths
We are back, unpacked and still recovering a bit from the excitement that is International Quilt Market! We had a blast and did something a little different this time - we had two booths! Are you ready for a photo dump? Here it comes!
Featured in Quilty Magazine
We feel completely honored to be featured in the last issue of Quilty magazine! Since their relaunch, the editors at Quilty have concocted an amazing new series called "Your Modern Heritage" where they take a closer look at a quilt that inspires them. And even more amazingly, they have chosen to feature our Empire Place BOM pattern!
Bag Lady Sale!
In honor of Kristy's Birthday this past month and the holiday weekend we are on the verge of, we are going to have a BAG LADY SALE! All bag, purse and tote patterns and hardware kits are 20% off with the code "baglady."
Paradox Point QAL - Block 12
We took a little break from the Paradox Point QAL, but we are back now with the last block! This last block is a little bit of an illusion. The arrow is made up of four triangles that are made up of triangles inside of triangles! This is a little bit of an inception block!
Free Patchwork Pear Mini Quilt Pattern
I have one more mini fruit wallhanging up my sleeve! This little pear looks great with the Mini Pineapple, Mini Orange and Mini Apples. If I ever have wall space in a future kitchen space, I imagine a little wall collage. For now, they are making my mini wall even cuter!
Introducing Focus Freeway!
Say Cheese! Cameras are a part of our everyday life these days and we love them! I always am snapping photos - everything from my brunch plate to my puppies are victims of my photography. Focus Freeway is a playful camera pattern that is great for everyone - boys and girls, professional photographers and hobbyists, college dorms and kids rooms!
Introducing Elsie Avenue!
A is for Alligator Alley, B is for Bugsy Backpack, C is for Clay Court, D is for Darby Road and E is for Elsie Avenue! This adorable hedgehog is an appliqué quilt and pillow pattern that we can't help but smile when we see it. We hope you love her as much as we do!
Introducing Darby Road!
Now onto our only paper-pieced project for our Spring patterns, Darby Road! This fun take on hexagons is pieced in half-hexagons and sewn together in rows, so there are no y-seams or tricky construction. Darby Road is a fun pattern to experiment with color placement and create a plethora of different looks!
Introducing Clay Court!
Today is Clay Court's day in the sun! This quilt is incredibly versatile and so much fun to make. The block is comprised of small squares inside of a triangle inside of a square and can be made with scraps or precut 2.5" strips sets!
