Introducing Cadence Court!

Introducing Cadence Court!

We published a new Block-of-the-Month book back in October and haven’t gotten around to chatting about it on here. Cadence Court is our latest book and it is more of a Wedge-of-the-Month! Let’s get down to some quick facts, then I will share all the different versions we made. So, grab a cup of tea or wine, because this is a long post =]
Paradox Point QAL - Block 12

Paradox Point QAL - Block 12

We took a little break from the Paradox Point QAL, but we are back now with the last block! This last block is a little bit of an illusion. The arrow is made up of four triangles that are made up of triangles inside of triangles! This is a little bit of an inception block!
Paradox Point QAL - Block 10

Paradox Point QAL - Block 10

Block 10 - yowza! That means we are rounding the corner towards the finish line of our Paradox Point QAL. (Sorry for the metaphor but I just watched the Kentucky Derby!) This is a neat block featuring some stacked flying geese. Block 10 is one that can take on multiple looks depending on the contrast in your main colors and fabric placement. Let's take a look at what our talent sewers did!
Paradox Point QAL - Block 7

Paradox Point QAL - Block 7

Spring has sprung! This is one of my favorite times of the year. It is finally warm enough to dust off those shorts and frolic outdoors before it gets hot! I just spent the weekend camping and hiking around Moab, so I am feeling refreshed and invigorated creatively.
Paradox Point QAL - Block 6

Paradox Point QAL - Block 6

Today marks the half-way point of our Paradox Point Quilt Along! We are on our 6th block and we love seeing your creations! If anyone was at QuiltCon a couple weekends ago, they may have seen the Paradox Point quilt Kristy made hanging up in the Hoffman California Fabrics booth! I will see if I can hunt down some photos. Until then, here are our block 6's!
How to Stick with your 2017 Sewing Goals!

How to Stick with your 2017 Sewing Goals!

We are almost a month into 2017 and I am double checking my Sewing Goals list to evaluate how I am doing. I always start the new year overzealous about what I would like to get done, but this year I am taking a different approach to my sewing time that will allow for a little bit more creativity and fun. I have put together a few tips on how to stick with your 2017 sewing goals, so here we go!
Paradox Point QAL - Block 1

Paradox Point QAL - Block 1

Happy New Year everyone! We are kicking off our Paradox Point QAL today and sharing our first blocks. We have beautiful blocks from Kristy and Juli, and a special appearance from my little sister! It is always fun when we can get her excited about sewing, so when she started pulling fabrics for this quilt, we were ecstatic.
Introducing Paradox Point!

Introducing Paradox Point!

Okay, so most of you have already seen this quilt a few times, either on Instagram or in our Quilt Market recap post! But we thought we could have a few posts on Paradox Point this week to answer some questions about the pattern and share some details about each quilt. We have four different versions to share with you, and today we are kicking it all off with this gorgeous cover quilt!

Empire Place in Tonga Batiks

We are 2/3rds of the way through our Empire Place quilts! I hope you are still excited to see the next two! Today we are sharing this jewel-toned beauty! Our good friend Gitte Hopkins made this quilt with Timeless Treasures' Tonga Java Blender batiks. I absolutely love this version, especially the little pop of lime that shows up in each block!

Introducing Empire Place!

Happy 2016! We had a fun year of creating in 2015 and a terrible few months of blogging, (or lack thereof)! So, I am trying my best to get caught up on all the patterns from Fall Market before moving onto our 2016 patterns!
