Empire Place in Tonga Batiks
We are 2/3rds of the way through our Empire Place quilts! I hope you are still excited to see the next two! Today we are sharing this jewel-toned beauty! Our good friend Gitte Hopkins made this quilt with Timeless Treasures' Tonga Java Blender batiks. I absolutely love this version, especially the little pop of lime that shows up in each block!
We chose a variety of jewel tones for the blocks and paired them with a light, medium and grey batiks for the accents. We also threw a (almost neon!) lime green batik in each block to create a fun pop! We chose a dark evergreen batik for the main accent and a light silver for the background. To see a list of the exact skus used, click here. Gradating the blocks in color order down the quilt creates a nice cascade that keeps the eye moving!
