Quilt Market 2016 Recap - Part 1

We just got back from Quilt Market in Houston and before it all becomes a blur, I wanted to share a few snippets! This time I will take you through a day-to-day breakdown of Quilt Market through our eyes - and get a peek at our new patterns. We also wore matching shirts everyday that are a little sassy =] There is so much to share, part 1 will contain a day to day breakdown and part 2 will have a booth tour!

Hello, Ollie Fabrics Blog Tour

Hello, Ollie Fabrics Blog Tour

Hello lovely blog hoppers! Welcome to our little corner of the internet! Today is our day on the Hello, Ollie Fabrics Blog Tour. I have always admired Bonnie Christine's designs and when she asked us to make something for her Spring Quilt Market booth back in May, I jumped at the opportunity!
Introducing Sammy's Safari!

Introducing Sammy's Safari!

This is Sammy's Safari, the sequel to our popular baby quilt pattern Zoey’s ZooSammy's Safari is a fun, quick and customizable appliqué pattern for the newest baby in your life! Introducing Kringle Crossing!

Introducing Kringle Crossing!

It is no secret that diamonds are one of our favorite shapes to work with! If Diamond AlleyDiamond Detour and Mini Diamond Detour weren't proof enough, we have a new pattern featuring... you guessed it, diamonds! Kringle Crossing is a fun, fast tree skirt and table topper pattern in one.
Introducing Baker Street!

Introducing Baker Street!

Ahhhh! Quilt Market is coming soon and I have been a major slacker on the blog front. I can't very well introduce our new upcoming patterns without formally introducing the last bunch, so... up next on the intro train is Baker Street!
Elisabeth & Mason's Wedding Quilt

Elisabeth & Mason's Wedding Quilt

I have always made a promise to close friends, that will get a quilt when they get married. I have officially hit that age where my friends are beginning to settle down, so the quilt making has begun! The first of my close friends to tie-the-knot was Elisabeth. When she asked me to be a bridesmaid, I concocted a plan to make a guest book quilt.

Happy Monday! Today I am writing to you from a little coffee shop in Midtown Manhattan! I am on a trip with my best friend and we are having a blast, and getting some work done. This week, we are going to continue introducing our new(ish) patterns and next up on the docket is our Privet Drive!
Prism Parkway in Saturday Morning

Prism Parkway in Saturday Morning

It is always fun to see digital quilt mockup come to life! This is the Prism Parkway I mocked up for Moda in Basic Grey's latest line, Saturday Morning! It is a fun line with text, florals, triangles and people toting about! I arranged the fabrics gradating in color order from red to black to blue to green to gold, diagonally down the quilt on a light grunge background.
Introducing Hootsville Row!

Introducing Hootsville Row!

Hootsville Row originated as a 12" block I designed a few years ago for one of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks magazines. Hootie, as I called him, was one single owl perched on a branch with a golden full moon behind him. I decided to design a quilt around Hootie and create a whole family of owls. I love how Hootsville Row turned out!
Mel's Mats in Hazelwood

Mel's Mats in Hazelwood

The last post featured Mel's Mats made with scraps. Today I am going to share some placemats made with a precut strip pack by one of our favorite sewists, Juli Kieny! We paired a jelly roll of an adorable fabric line from One Canoe Two (one of my favorite designers!) with two woven solids for the background. Juli made up 4 placemats and we love how they turned out!
