Introducing Baker Street! October 19 2016, 0 Comments

Ahhhh! Quilt Market is coming soon and I have been a major slacker on the blog front. I can't very well introduce our new upcoming patterns without formally introducing the last bunch, so... up next on the intro train is Baker Street!

This is a traditionally-pieced, modern and fat-quarter friendly quilt! These unique long blocks give this quilt a fun vertical interest. Baker Street looks great paired with your new favorite line or stashed fabrics and finishes 64” x 84”.

To make this cover quilt, I collected orange, coral and pink fat-quarters for the blocks and paired them with an aqua accent. I love this combo - it has fresh Spring vibe (of course, we are now heading into Fall).

My Mom worked her quilting magic on this quilt! She quilted horizontal serpentining lines across the colors of the blocks and filled the background in with a double feather and some bubbles. I love the texture created and how the quilting looks in low light!

We had two perfectly painted doors to use as a backdrop for this quilt. We leaned the aqua and orange doors up against our garage door and draped the Baker Street over on an angle. I love how these shots turned out!

I used some of my most treasured and favorite prints in this quilt. This orange floral with bits of aqua, lime and white in it is one of my all time favs!
