Elisabeth & Mason's Wedding Quilt
I have always made a promise to close friends, that will get a quilt when they get married. I have officially hit that age where my friends are beginning to settle down, so the quilt making has begun! The first of my close friends to tie-the-knot was Elisabeth. When she asked me to be a bridesmaid, I concocted a plan to make a guest book quilt.
I made a bunch of paper-pieced triangle blocks with white centers surrounded by coral, aqua and orange fabrics. I brought them to the reception and had guests write little notes for the couple as they walked in. I sewed them all together and added a top and bottom border to make it more quilt shaped.
I love how this quilt turned out. I hope Mason and Elisabeth seeing enjoy the notes and reread them from time to time! Thank you to Mason and Elisabeth for letting me be a part of their special day! I love you two!

I love your quilt. They will enjoy it for years to come.
Years and years ago I was a homeroom mother and found out that the teacher was getting married in the spring. Since this was the beginning of the year when I found out, I bought a nice lace tablecloth, had the children and all the teachers in the school sign it and I embroidered their names and messages. She was flabbergasted at such a gift. A nice memory.
