Introducing Kringle Crossing!
It is no secret that diamonds are one of our favorite shapes to work with! If Diamond Alley, Diamond Detour and Mini Diamond Detour weren't proof enough, we have a new pattern featuring... you guessed it, diamonds! Kringle Crossing is a fun, fast tree skirt and table topper pattern in one.
We love having a tree skirt at Christmas time and wanted to make a custom one featuring our names. Kringle Crossing comes with a full-sized reversed cursive font ready for appliqué that allows you to add your family names or favorite holiday words to the edge of the skirt.
To make our cover tree skirt, we chose 6 holiday prints with an aqua background for the diamonds and a white dot for the background. We chose 5 holiday words and a lime solid fabric for the appliqué portion: jolly, dream, love, wish and merry.
We made a coordinating table topper in holiday fabrics with white backgrounds on a red dot for the cover. After we made one, we fell in love and decided to make one for each season! Our Spring topper features bright florals, our Summer topper features patriotic prints and our Fall topper features orange fabrics and a spiderweb background.
Our friend Juli made a tree skirt featuring her family names (including the pup!) with some adorable Michael Miller holiday fabric. The little foxes on this are my absolute favorite!
The Kringle Crossing pattern is available in paper form and includes the full-size, reversed alphabet ready to appliqué and templates for both the tree skirt and table topper. If you make this or any other Sassafras Lane project, we would love to see it! Send us photos, post them to our Flickr group or use our #sassafraslane hashtag on Instagram!
