What are Low Volume Fabrics?

What are Low Volume Fabrics?

We have two fun new fat-quarter bundles available for sale! Woot woot! One of the bundles is a stack of low volume prints and we took these new guys to Quilt Festival in Houston with us. A question we kept getting was “What are low volumes?”

Introducing the Teddy Tote!

Introducing the Teddy Tote!

Some designs come from an artistic vision and some come about to fill a need! Say hello to the new perfect everyday tote bag - the Teddy Tote! We both live in bag-free areas, so every trip the grocery store, Target or clothing store requires us to bring our own bag. I wanted something a little cuter than a canvas bag, but something quick and fun to make - that is how we ended up with the Teddy Tote
Introducing Piccadilly Circle!

Introducing Piccadilly Circle!

Piccadilly Circle was one of our inaugural patterns three years ago. It is a fun skill-building pattern that we have republished with a shiny new cover and updated instructions. We are constantly wanting to remake older patterns in new styles and fabrics. I couldn't get the image of a Piccadilly Circle quilt made with rainbow circles and a scrappy low volume background out of my head - so I made it!
Hello, Ollie Fabrics Blog Tour

Hello, Ollie Fabrics Blog Tour

Hello lovely blog hoppers! Welcome to our little corner of the internet! Today is our day on the Hello, Ollie Fabrics Blog Tour. I have always admired Bonnie Christine's designs and when she asked us to make something for her Spring Quilt Market booth back in May, I jumped at the opportunity!
Canyon Boulevard in Ink & Arrow Fabrics

Canyon Boulevard in Ink & Arrow Fabrics

Occasionally fabulous fabric companies ask us to make a project featuring their new fabric lines. I love looking at fabric, then sorting through our patterns to find the perfect pairing! Ink & Arrow Fabrics sent us a box full of goodies. We sorted through it and picked out 8 fun prints on white backgrounds and a seafoam dot blender to make our Canyon Boulevard quilt pattern.
Introducing One Way!

Introducing One Way!

One Way is one of our newer patterns that we released at Fall Quilt Market in Houston. (Yes, I am just getting around to blogging about it! Sorry!) This modern arrow design was inspired by a wall mural in Japan. We loved the simplicity of the design and immediately wanted to make it into a quilt!
Lantern Lane Color Option

Lantern Lane Color Option

We always make each quilt pattern at least twice. This was the second version of Lantern Lane we made. Nine warm solids ranging from yellow to a dark burgundy form the lanterns and assorted low volume fabrics fill in the background.

Arcadia Avenue - Blooming (block 5)

Blooming is the 5th block of our Arcadia Avenue Quilt Along! We are now over a 1/3 of the way through the blocks. Time has really flown by - I can't believe it is already April!
Arcadia Avenue - Peacock Feathers (block 2)

Arcadia Avenue - Peacock Feathers (block 2)

Happy Presidents Day and welcome to post 4 of the Arcadia Avenue QAL - where we share our Peacock Feathers blocks! We named this block Peacock Feathers because when you sew two wedges together, they resemble a close up of those pretty feathers!
