New Main Street Pattern Cover
We had a great opportunity to make our Main Street pattern in Timeless Treasures new precuts! We used the Sketch Colorplay 2.5" Strips for the colors, a light grey for the accent and a solid white for the background. We loved how this quilt turned out so much, we decided to reshoot our Main Street pattern covers!
Pat's Main Street Quilt
This gorgeous version of Main Street was made by the talented Pat Lyman. She used a brown and blue batik bali pop for the blocks, a blue batik for the accent and light beige printed batik for the background. Her colors are beautiful and so is her piecing!
Marti's Main Street Quilt
Ooh La La! That's all I can say about this version of our Main Street Quilt pattern! Well I think I can conjure up a little more to say! This beauty was made by Marti Dyer-Allison, also known as Aunt Marti. She has an amazing blog, 52 Quilts, where she documents all of her amazing quilting endeavors!
Main Street Quilt Sew and Tell
Today, I would like to share Annette Matthies' Main Street quilt! She took our Mystery Class back in 2012 when we taught this one. Surprisingly she chose colors very similar to our cover quilt! She chose a turquoise for the accent color instead of a dark grey and I love how it looks.
Bye Bye 2013, Hello 2014!
I had a good feeling about 2013 and it did not let me down! It was a crazy, busy, beautiful and adventurous year. Here are some of our favorites from 2013!
Quilt Market in Houston - Our Booth!
So we are back in Colorado with lots to do and smiles on our faces. Our first Quilt Market could not have gone better! We made lots of contacts, met so many wonderful people and had a blast. Our feet are a little tired, but it was so worth it!
Main Street Sew and Tell
One of the lucky aspects of my Mom being a longarm quilter is we get to see some Sassafras Lane quilts come in finished! This beauty was made by Karen Morgan using our Main Street Quilt Pattern and some very colorful batiks.
Buggy Barn Outdoor Quilt Show 2013
Every year the Buggy Barn throws a big outdoor quilt show! When we lived in the area, you betcha we went! It is a little harder to attend from Colorado though. This year Janet and Pam asked us if we would be interested in doing a trunk show.
Main Street Quilt Pattern
Main Street is a Jelly-Roll, Bali-Pop or scrap fabric friendly. The two blocks create this fresh quilt with a traditional feel but modern twist. There are no classic borders, we do however pull the weave pattern out into the border. This quilt is a fun excuse to dig through those scrap piles! That is what we did!
