Summer Lovin’ is my 5th fabric line with Windham Fabrics, following Foundation, Good Vibes Only, Favorite Things and Pura Vida. As the names reflects, this line is inspired by summer love. Not necessarily the romantic fling type, but the small glimmer moments that seem to be in abundance during those warm months. Summer Lovin’ was came to fruition while I was in the land of eternal summer, Hawaii. I doodled all these little reminders of moments and they turned into a complete collection of prints and colors.

The pin collection is growing! We have added 5 BRAND NEW Enamel Pins to the shop and if we are being modest, they are stinkin’ cute! The holidays are coming up and these little collector items make perfect little gifts for any friend, family member or a little something for yourself.

Who doesn’t love a little glitter? We made some of our favorite quilty phrases into stickers and couldn’t resist adding a little sparkle. Tell us in the comments below which one is your favorite!

Sling bags have been popping everywhere recently and we are here for it! We love this style of bag for it’s versatility and easy usability. We decided to design a bag of our own so we could add all our favorite elements and make it the PERFECT sling! And so the SweetPea Sling was conceived! In true Sassafras Lane fashion, we named this fun bag after our sweet girl Elsie, the white pup that makes regular appearances on our socials. We called her SweetPea for the first few weeks after we adopted her before we named her and it has stayed a nickname for the last 8 years!

Oops I did it again! I made more stickers, this time, little Quilt Ghosts! Remember that trend last year where quilters were taking “ghost” photos for Instagram by putting quilts over their heads and throwing on some sunglasses? Well I loved the idea of depicting ghosts made of quilts - such a cute idea, right?

To say we have been planning this bag for years, would not be an understatement. Kristy has always wanted to add a big bag to our collection, and I am always on the hunt for a perfect travel bag. We finally incorporated all our wishlists into this perfect duffle-style bag and named if after the newest member of our family, JoJo. It is finally time to introduce the JoJo on the Go!

Summer may be coming to end seasonally, but somedays I choose to live in a perpetual state of summer! Especially here in the PNW, we need a jolt of summer on those dreary days. So, without further ado, I’d like to officially introduce the most perfect summer quilt, Citrus Circle!

I have been seeing strawberries EVERYWHERE! Growing wild on bushes in my neighborhood, on plates, side tables, mugs and phones in TJMaxx, AND on a bunch of new fabric lines coming out! I also happened to realize we haven't added to Mini Patchwork Fruit Collection in quite awhile. So, I decided to make a little Patchwork Strawberry and I think it turned out pretty cute!

I couldn’t help myself! I designed a bunch of new stickers while in Hawaii helping my partner recover from knee surgery. I had lots of down time, endless tv shows and too many ideas! I was having so much fun, I kept waking up in the middle of the night to jot down another idea or small edit to a current doodle.

I love the convenience of a wide backing. You all know I sometimes love to use the cutoffs from the front to piecemeal a backing, but sometimes when the quilt top is done, so am I mentally! When I started designing fabric a few years ago, I always wanted to design some fun wide backing designs that would compliment the fabric lines. And one day like a ton of bricks, an idea hit me and Head in the Clouds was conceived!
