Shelby Satchel in Houndstooth & Friends

We had leftover fabric from the Euclid Avenue Juli made in Houndstooth & Friends fabric so we decided to make a super cute Shelby Satchel! It is a little bit scrappier than the others, but we made do with the Michael Miller fabric we had! The bag finishes 11.5 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 2 inches deep and fits an iPad perfectly.

We used the adorable raccoon print for the flap, the lime argyle print for the front pocket, a teal dot for the flap straps and a black/grey houndstooth print for the bag body.

There is a step while making this bag towards the end, when you round the bottom corners. I accidentally rounded the top two corners…. whoops! Instead of starting over from the beginning I added teal corners to the cut off areas. Who doesn’t love a little improv with their bag making?!
