Shelby Satchel in Empire
We had the great honor of having a project in the Westminster Fibers/FreeSpirit Fabric Quilt Market booth in Pittsburgh. This is our Shelby Satchel bag pattern made in Empire designed by Parson Gray (aka David Butler) for FreeSpirit. The bag finishes 11.5 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 2 inches deep and fits an iPad perfectly. This version has a completely different feel to it! Less novelty and more mature!
Empire is a great "guy" fabric line full of earthy colors and subtle prints. We used a tan on black chevron stripe for the flap, a tan on black wavy cross hatching for the bag body and a black on white diamond stripe for the accent. This would be a great bag for the man in your life to tote his iPad back and forth to work!
