Churndash Court in Pop Rox
We met the lovely and talented Carol Van Zandt at Quilt Market in Houston. Last month she emailed and asked if we wanted to use any of her new fabric line: Pop Rox. We said yes and used it to make an elegant version of our new Churndash Court pattern!

Pop Rox from Andover Fabrics comes in two color ways. A bright color-way and the one we chose. This color-way is beiges, tans, browns and blacks. I love all the fun shapes Carol designed with sticks and dots.

My Mom, the amazing talent behind Wolf Creek Quilting, quilted this little churndash quilt with an uneven grid. She quilted the grid with a shiny and slightly variegated brown thread. The thread blends perfectly with the light and dark fabrics.

To snag some hanging shots of this quilt, I pinned it to a wooden wall. It worked as a perfect backdrop to compliment all the browns.

If you make this pattern or any other of our Sassafras Lane Designs patterns, send us an email! (contact@sassafras-lane.com) We would love to feature you and the quilt on here!

The Churndash Court quilt pattern is available here in PDF form. Paper patterns are coming soon! Big thank you to Carol for sending us your beautiful fabric! Thank you for stopping by!

What a lovely pattern and it looks fun to do. Churn dash blocks are one of my favorites and so are string blocks.
