Introducing the Colorburst Quilt Block

We are trying something a little different this year! In addition to our quilt and bag patterns, we will be publishing some QUILT BLOCK patterns! These will be PDFs only and will not include technique instructions, yardage or cutting when unnecessary, but on the flip side, they will be less expensive! We trust that you, our customers, do not need the hand holding, and hope that this will allow us to publish more designs.

Our first new pattern of 2022 is the COLORBURST Quilt Block Pattern!

The Details

Colorburst is exclusively a PDF pattern for you, our retail customers. It includes two finished block sizes 12in x 12in and 24in x 24in, and a coloring sheet. This paper-piecing pattern includes full-size foundations ready to be printed on letter-size paper, however the 24in block foundations do require a little bit of scotch tape. 

The Inspiration 

You may remember seeing this block on my design board a couple years ago. I dreamed up this block and made a quick sample. I wasn’t sure I wanted to make a bunch of blocks and turn it into a quilt, so there it sat, lonely on my wall for 2 years. 

While we were at QuiltCon, we decided to launch a few PDF block patterns and my mind immediately went to this block! Kristy made two samples of the large size and here we are!
