Christmas In July + SALE!
The holiday season is officially on it’s way! Don’t get too worried, there is still plenty of time to make all those fun decorations and gifts. We have always chatted about doing a Christmas in July blog post and giveaway, but always get sidetracked when July rolls around. This year, we are on it!
Personally, I love Christmas. It is my favorite time of year. I love when the world is blanketed with snow and everyone is jolly. I get to see my family and spend some quality time with them. Knowing this, it will come as no surprise that we have a few holiday themed patterns and have made a few more in Christmas fabrics.
We are going to chat about a few of our favorite holiday patterns, share a few photos, tell a couple stories, then we will get to the giveaway!
Christmas at the Wolf house while I was growing up was a bit affair! We kept multiple boxes of decorations in the garage, just waiting to be used once a year. Most of these decorations were homemade goods, by my talented and craft-show boothing mom, or those hilarious handmade children’s decoration me and my siblings made. (Anyone else out there make reindeer with coat hangers and stockings?) My favorite decoration was always these goofy Santas and trees my mom dreamed up and made. We recently decided to pattern these fun decorations!
Jolly Lane
This silly 3D Santa Claus and Christmas tree are the perfect decorations for your holiday celebrations. Pattern includes instructions for both projects in two different sizes and 2 beard rings (one of each size needed). Simple, scrappy triangle construction make this project quick and great for using up scraps. Perfect for a fun holiday gift!
Let’s be honest. As a kid, the only thing you really think about around Christmas time is gifts! Personally I find immense satisfaction in giving the perfect gift. It shows I really know that person. Growing up, our gifts were always set on a beautiful hand embroidered tree skirt my grandma made us. Over the years, the water eventually damaged it, so we designed a new tree skirt using our favorite shape - diamonds! This became a completely personizable tree-skirt pattern!
Kringle Crossing
Kringle Crossing is a fun modern tree skirt and table topper pattern in one! The tree skirt can be personalized with your family’s names, fun holiday words or your puppies! The table topper is a fun way to liven up your table for each season and holiday! Full-size templates and alphabet included!
Christmas dinner in the Wolf house is another fan favorite. As a vegetarian, holiday meals aren’t always my most favorite thing, but Christmas dinner feeds the soul of my meat-loving siblings and me alike! Mostly because we are all together with some great wine, telling stories about our lives from the past few years. I have never missed a Christmas with my family, and I hope I never do! A couple years ago, I whipped up some festive placemats to add a little more whimsy to the event!
Mel’s Mats
These mats are fun projects that look great in all fabrics and color schemes but I am partial to these holiday versions. There are little elves that pop up in between the red and green scraps. The weaving technique used to make these is fun and allows you to try out the decorative stitches on your machine!
Does your house completely transform for most of December? If so, you will love these festive versions of a few Sassafras Lane Designs patterns.
Bourbon Street
This pattern is a fussy-cutting lovers dream! I pulled assorted green and red scraps (with some fussy-cut treasures) to make this wall-hanging holiday version of Bourbon Street!
Cadence Court
This version of our Cadence Court holds a special place in my heart! I dug into my beloved Christmas fabric stash to make this quilt. I fussy-cut some fun little fabrics into some of the diamonds and used a light solid aqua for the background.
Mini Lantern Lane
Mini quilts are perfect for holiday decorations! Our dear friend, Juli, made this fun Christmas themed Mini Lantern Lane with some of her favorite prints.
Darby Road (pillow)
We made a ton of pillows for my Foundation fabric booth last year at Quilt Market and among the pillows was this holiday colored version of our Darby Road pattern.
Piccadilly Circle
Who doesn’t love the peppermints that cover our world from Thanksgiving to New Years? This version of Piccadilly Circle turns our quilt blocks into peppermints!
Arcadia Avenue Table Toppers
A single block from our Arcadia Avenue makes for a great table topper! We love covering every surface available in festive decorations and these are perfect.
Diamond Alley
One of our classic Sassafras Lane patterns makes a great holiday couch dweller! Diamond Alley is a great pattern to show off those treasured Christmas prints.
And even though we don't have a sample made up yet, I think our Express Yourself Way pattern would be a great addition to your holiday decor! Just imagine a cute "Tis the Season," "Merry Christmas," "Happy Holidays" or "Ho, ho, ho" banner in your home!
