Introducing Mini Piccadilly Circle
When Kristy and I decided Piccadilly Circle was the sixth pattern we would turn into a mini quilt, I couldn't repress my urge to make a color wheel! I have loved rainbows from a very early age, and incorporate them into our projects as much as Kristy will let me =] We dug into our scrap bins and found 40 gradating fabrics to make this rainbow-tastic Mini Piccadilly Circle!
And what goes perfectly with a rainbow color wheel? Why, black and white of course! I have always loved a striped binding and when it came down to picking the binding for this mini, I couldn't resist this amazing black and white stripe! It plays well with the black and white fussy-cut lion in the center and black accent squares!
Quick Quilt Stats:
- Made and Quilted by: Kristy Wolf

- Full-size Sidekick Pattern: Piccadilly Circle

- Finished Size: 14" x 14"
- Techniques: Foundation paper-piecing, curves and appliqué
Here is a photo for scale, so you can see how small the mini is when being compared to the original Piccadilly Circle. Notice that the size of the circle didn't change dramatically, but there are more pieces in each wedge. Because this quilt requires many techniques to construct, we wanted to keep it fairly large and fun!
I love how this mini turned out, so much in fact, I made two identical quilts! We used Alison Glass's Handcrafted Indigos and Abacus to create this fun blue wheel. Each wedge of the circle gradates from navy to blue to teal and placed them on a scrappy low-volume background!
