8 Last Minute Stocking Stuffers for Quilters!
'Tis the season for hot cocoa, snowy walks and last minute gift shopping! We have compiled a list to send to those forgetful husbands, wives and children of some last minute small gifts and stocking stuffers.
1. Scissors
A quilter can never have too many scissors. A nice shiny new pair of small scissors will brighten any quilter's stocking! I recently received a pair from Warm Crochet and I can't put them down - sharp and beautiful to boot. Check them out here.
2. Enamel Pins
Grab your favorite quilter a few cute enamel pins to jazz up their favorite jean jacket! Here are a few of the ones I have collected: stork scissors, wine glass, stitch press repeat, peacock, seam ripper, sewing machine and fierce quilter.
3. Thread
Every quilter and sewist needs thread! Each quilter has their favorites, go take a peek in their sewing room and grab them some of their favorites, or get them an Aurifil thread set. It is sure to be a winner!
4. Mini Quilt Patterns
Mini patterns are small little patterns that will slip into a stocking nicely and can give your favorite quilter some inspiration for the new year! Check out our Mini Quilts section.
5. Quilty T-shirts
Add a little something quilty to your special someone's wardrobe (or your own)! Stately Type has an entire section of quilting / sewing themed t-shirts. I have a few of these in my closet and am always buying more.
6. Wonder Clips
I love these things! Every project I make, from bags to quilts, I find a use for my Wonder Clips. They make binding easier, hold zippers in place and much more! Check your local quilt store for my favorite set.
7. Add-A-Quarter Plus
Not too long ago, Carolyn McCormick, the brilliant mind behind the Add-A-Quarter ruler, produced a newer version, the Add-A-Quarter Plus! This ruler eliminates the need for the postcard for paper-piecing.
8. Fabric Bundles
And last but not least, the tried and true gift - fabric! Grab a jelly-roll or charm pack of their favorite designer's newest fabric line to add a little quilty pop to the mantle.
Any or all of these gifts would bring a big smile to your favorite quilter's face on Christmas morning! Or heck, grab a few things for yourself. Happy Holidays everyone!
