Arcadia Avenue in American Made Brand Solids

Today we are sharing this stunning version of our Arcadia Avenue made by our good friend, Juli Kieny, with American Made Brand solids. Now let's hear from the talented lady who made and quilted this great quilt:

"First off, let me say how much I love sewing for Sassafras Lane! These ladies are just so talented and fun. When I saw a picture of the Arcadia Avenue BOM, I couldn't wait to get started. I love what you can create with paper piecing and once you've learned how, something that looks so complicated, just isn't."

"A tip for this pattern: there will be a lot of bulk in the center of each block, so after sewing, trim some of the seam allowance towards the tip of the triangle, your seams will match up more accurately."

"Since my quilt was made with all solids, I knew it needed to be custom quilted. To add some softness to all the angles, I quilted a lot of curves, loops and swirls. The back of the quilt is just as fun as the front!"

"Kristy and Shayla are so creative, I can't wait to see what they come up with next!"

Ahh! Thank you Juli! You are too sweet! And a huge thank you for making and quilting this stunner! Juli made a few other projects for Quilt Market and we will be sharing them soon!"

For Juli's quilt, we chose 12 warm colors ranging from yellow to maroon and a light, medium and dark pink for the light, medium and dark. For the background we chose two dark fabrics, one navy and one purple. The dark backgrounds really make the blocks pop!
