Sassy & Solid - Part 1

We had a fun opportunity to pair American Made Brand solids with our patterns for a presentation at Quilt Market in Salt Lake City. Our talented friend Juli Kieny made a whole slew of quilts for us and I can't wait to share some photos of these amazing quilts! I will be sharing 2 large quilts and 2 minis over the next few days - be prepared for lots of colorful quilt photos!

I had a ton of fun photographing these quilts. There is something striking about solid quilts and Juli's quilting is something else!

Prism Parkway in AMB Solids

First up is my personal favorite - Prism Parkway. We put together a gradating rainbow from yellow to green on a white solid. Juli quilted this one with wavy lines approximately 1" apart and bound it a bright yellow.

For each large quilt we made a coordinating mini quilt! This is our Mini Prism Parkway on the big Prism Parkway quilt to show scale. Juli quilted this one with diagonal straight lines 1/2" apart.

Baker Street in AMB solids

Next up is Baker Street. This quilt has a large vertical elongated block. with an accent sawtooth star inside. We took a part of the rainbow, starting with pink and gradating to turquoise. And check out that quilting - absolutely gorgeous!

We decided to not turn Baker Street into a mini quilt because the pieces in the center of the block got a little too small to manage! And me being me, means I wanted to have to an even number of big and mini quilts, so we had Juli whip up a Mini Piccadilly Circle quilt.

What do you guys think? I love a good rainbow and each of these quilts is based on color and gradations! Tomorrow we will be sharing Wynkoop Court and Diamond Detour, so swing back by for some more lovely colorful quilts!
