Wild Moose Chase - Succulent Herd
We are getting a little dazed and amoosed by all of these different Wild Moose Chase projects. Sadly, this is our last moose project to share. I am sure we will have a lot more of these down the road because these little guys are way too much fun to make! Just picture it with me, a Christmas Moose!
Today we are chatting about the adorable quilt we made to be a part of Michael Miller Fabric’s brand new succulent colors of their Cotton Couture Solids. Now, I know when you hear succulents, you don’t immediately picture moose. But I am pretty sure these little guys look great in just about everything!
We picked out 26 of the new solids - 24 for the moose faces, 1 for the background and 1 for the antlers. We then arranged the solids in color order and paired up buddies whom were next to one another so each block had it’s own color way. When choosing the fabrics, we started with the background and made sure all of our choices had enough contrast so they didn’t get lost.
Kristy quilted this version with her fern meander and added a little character to one of the moose. How could she not wthl all the moosetache puns that came our way during the naming contest!
