The cover backpack we made up in a fabric we both fell in love with! Someone walked into our booth to match some cork and vinyl to this house print she had purchased in another booth in Portland. Without a word, my mom and I looked at each other and I was off to see if they had any yardage left! I bought the rest of the bolt and we paired some Turquoise Cork, Cobalt and Tomato Textured Vinyls with it. I am not sure I could love a backpack any more!
Can’t get enough of this cork fabric! We made an entire bag (sans the lining) with a few different Cork colors - Natural, Teal and Brown. This is a great bag to make with the Cork fabric because it gives the backpack some extra structure and a professionally made look!
Speaking of a professional look, check out this backpack made with our Black Pebbled Vinyl with Black Cork accents. I have worn this around town a few times and people keep asking me where I bought it! I love being able to say it is handmade! I added a pop of color with a scrappy bonus strap.
We love the look of our bag patterns made up in our vinyls, so we made another Boulder Backpack up in the Kiwi Textured Vinyl with accents made up in a leafy canvas print from Stof Fabrics. We added in some accents of Glacier Textured Vinyl for some contrast.
Anna Rifle of Rifle Paper Co. is one of my favorite artists - no joke, my place is covered in her maps! So when I saw this map canvas fabric, I knew we had to make something special with it! We paired the map fabric with some Coral Cork and Blush Pebbled Vinyl to tie it all together.
And last but not least is this gorgeous jungle backpack! Monaluna is one of our favorite fabric companies to work with. They design and manufacture all organic prints that are just too adorable for words! Their latest line, Festival, features an adorable animal print we used for the main print. Add in a few pops of Mustard, Periwinkle and Turquoise Cork and voila, you have have an amazing backpack!
As we photographed these backpacks in the backyard, we had a few furry interruptions! I mean, is there anything cuter than a puppy wearing a backpack?!
