Good Vibes Only Blog Tour

It's that time again! Designing fabric has many fun aspects and steps, but my favorite, by far, is seeing what others create with it. As I develop a fabric line, I picture how it will look in our Sass patterns, current and on the horizon. And these are fun, don’t get me wrong. But, I absolutely adore watching others create with the fabrics because everyone sees the potential of the prints and colors differently.

The TALENT

Once again, I have asked 19 of my favorite quilty peeps to make a little something. Over the next few weeks, a different project by a talented maker will be posting their “make” with Good Vibes Only fabric. I have gotten a few sneak peeks of what’s to come and I am very, very excited! I will be reposting photos on Instagram and updating the schedule below as the posts go live.

The GIVEAWAYS

Each maker will be hosting a giveaway for a small bundle of Good Vibes Only. That is 19 opportunities to win! There will also be a big giveaway with the recap post on Sunday, June 23rd. The big prize will contain a fat-quarter bundle of Good Vibes Only and a pattern bundle.

The INSPIRATION

Good Vibes Only is my second fabric line with Windham Fabrics, well with anyone! This line started with a list of affirmations. I have younger cousins and this line is for them. I wanted to add a little more positivity to the world. To accompany the word prints, I designed some supporting tonal prints in rich colors.

The FABRICS

Good Vibes Only contains 32 total prints - 3 word prints (1 colorful, 1 black & white and 1 low volume) 22 bright colors that create a spectrum, 1 gray print, 2 black prints and 4 additional low-volume prints. My last line, Foundation, featured white hand-drawn designs on all the bright colors and Good Vibes Only detours from that and features a majority of tonal prints. There are some fun pops of contrasting colors and little surprise words here and there!

The LOOK BOOK

This was my second look book and the process was completely different from the first. In fact, it will be it’s own post! We shot this entire book in my parent’s cul-de-sac with my iphone! Check out the whole book here and below are a couple of my favorite outtakes that didn’t make the cut.
