Lullaby Lane - Take 5
Post number 5 featuring Lullaby Lane is here! Toady I am going to show you two quilts I was commissioned to make for a newborn girl and her 5-year-old sister. The fabric for these doesn't quite coordinate like the last pair I made.
For the baby girl, Samantha Mae, I chose a bright and cheerful floral print for the center and built the quilt around it. Orange, aqua, lime, yellow and pink fabrics really brighten this quilt up!
I chose a slightly more contemporary color palette and center panel for the 5 year-old, Alexis Marie. I like to think of this quilt as something she can tote around, have tea parties on and make forts with. Less of a crib quilt and more of an accessory!
Both quilts have scrappy binding and were quilted by my talented Mom (aka Wolf Creek Quilting). Isn't this dragonfly just amazing?
Tomorrow I will show you the little girl and quilt that we have to thank for this pattern coming to life.
