Gitte's Atlantic Avenue
The second best part of my business partner / Mom being a longarm quilter, is that she gets Sassafras Lane quilts in her queue from time to time! (The best part being I have my own personal longarm quilter =] ) She recently sent me photos of this gorgeous Atlantic Avenue quilt made by the talented Gitte Hopkins.
Gitte chose a gorgeous palette of assorted turquoise and violet batiks on a black background. This combination on the dark background is absolutely stunning!
My Mom's quilting on this one is really something! She quilted a combination of serpentine lines and circular feathers using a contrasting variegated thread that really pops off the black background! There isn't too much I can say about it, just take a look for yourself!
