Pattern Difficulty Ratings
Each of our patterns has a difficulty rating. We hope this page will demystify these and encourage you to try a pattern no matter the rating! These levels are purely to help you pick a pattern that results in a cherished quilt or bag, rather than frustration and UFOs. Of course, if you're feeling up for the challenge, level up! There are abundant tutorials to help when you get stuck and you'll be surprised how much you learn.
Easy Peasy
This rating is for our easiest patterns. This doesn’t mean they are boring, but they should all be frustration free! Some of the patterns are very simple paper-piecing and some are traditional patchwork. The bags with this skill level have no hardware to install and will be a breeze!
You Got This!
This grouping gives you a little bit of a challenge - but really, you got this! They are paper-pieced patterns with more pieces, some not so traditionally pieced patterns and bags that are only a little bit challenging. But honestly, none of these patterns are hard, just maybe a bit more involved or time consuming.
Adventurous
This group includes our Block-of-the-Months and our bags that involve hardware and zippers. I must say that none of our patterns are hard - but some are more in-depth, have more pieces and require more time. Please don’t shy away from this grouping - because we know you can do this and it will be a fun challenge!
