Just My Type Blog Tour + Giveaway!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Today is our day on the Just My Type Blog Hop. When we saw the vibrant colors and fun prints in this gorgeous line Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis designed, we were enamored. The coffee mugs and typewriter keys are my favorites! Just My Type is shipping to stores so be sure to ask your local shop about it.

We used EVERY SINGLE FABRIC in the line to make our Diamond Detour quilt pattern. We used the three darkest blue fabrics to make a scrappy background and then gradated the other fabrics through the quilt. We rearranged the diamond blocks a few times until we found the perfect configuration.

Diamond Detour in Just My Type

Diamond Detour is one of those patterns that sews up like a dream! We love how this one came together.

Diamond Detour in Just My Type

Kristy quilted feathers in the background diamonds and serpentining horizontal lines in the pieced diamonds with a lime, teal and blue variegated thread. The texture it adds is drool-worthy!

Diamond Detour in Just My Type

We took the quilt down to a pier on Lake Washington and did our best to snap some pictures between the wind flapping it about!
