Introducing Lullaby Lane! September 09 2013, 0 Comments
Lullaby Lane is an adorable, quick and personalize-able crib quilt. Perfect to show off your favorite novelty print. This fat-quarter friendly quilt is great for baby girls and boys. Pick a center fat-quarter panel and begin making the best gift a baby can receive, a quilt!
I made my very first Lullaby Lane when Todd's first niece was born, back when I was just designing because I could. Brianna is about to turn 2. It all began when I didn't want to cut into an adorable fat-quarter. So, I built a quilt around it! I also think it is a fun touch to have the baby's name on the quilt. Add in a few squares and flying geese and voila! Lullaby Lane was born.
I have made about 8 different versions of this quilt. But, today I want to show you the cover quilt. We used Les Monsieurs by Tamara Kate for Michael Miller Fabrics. I love the little mustached men in cars! And that selvage! Does it get any cuter?
Our dear family friends recently had an adorable little boy. They graciously handed him over for a photo shoot =] And he was perfect! Look at that smile!
He then worked it for the camera! He did this all on his own. No posing, I swear!
We settled on this photo for the cover. It shows off the quilt nicely and Thomas is completely in focus and looking at the camera. Two things that were difficult to accomplish in one shot!
If you make this pattern or any other of our Sassafras Lane Designs patterns, send us an email! (firstname.lastname@example.org) We would love to feature you and the quilt on here!
The Lullaby Lane quilt pattern is available here in PDF form. Paper patterns are coming soon! Let us know if you have any questions. We have made quite a few of these, so stay tuned! I will be showing you more soon! Be sure to check back. Thank you for stopping by!
