Paradox Point in Desert Bloom

Paradox Point in Desert Bloom

The next version of Paradox Point we are sharing is this beauty made by Juli Kieny. It is a complete 180 from the cover quilt and I love that! Instead of creating a rainbow or gradating the fabrics in color order, Juli paired two contrasting fabrics from one fabric line for each arrow block. The contrasting blocks plus the dark background makes this quilt a total slam dunk!
Prism Parkway in Saturday Morning

Prism Parkway in Saturday Morning

It is always fun to see digital quilt mockup come to life! This is the Prism Parkway I mocked up for Moda in Basic Grey's latest line, Saturday Morning! It is a fun line with text, florals, triangles and people toting about! I arranged the fabrics gradating in color order from red to black to blue to green to gold, diagonally down the quilt on a light grunge background.
Mel's Mats in Hazelwood

Mel's Mats in Hazelwood

The last post featured Mel's Mats made with scraps. Today I am going to share some placemats made with a precut strip pack by one of our favorite sewists, Juli Kieny! We paired a jelly roll of an adorable fabric line from One Canoe Two (one of my favorite designers!) with two woven solids for the background. Juli made up 4 placemats and we love how they turned out!
Shelby Satchel in Elementary

Shelby Satchel in Elementary

This is our last project from Quilt Market made up in Moda fabrics! This is our Shelby Satchel bag pattern made in Elementary designed by the Sweetwater ladies for Moda. The bag finishes 11.5 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 2 inches deep and fits an iPad perfectly. This is another fun version with a novelty print on the flap.
Euclid Avenue in Figures

Euclid Avenue in Figures

Our second project from Quilt Market made up in Moda fabrics is this fun Euclid Avenue. The quilt had an awesome spot in the United Notions booth and really showed off the fabric. We used the Figures fabric line by Zen Chic for Moda fabrics. I love this line; it makes a great guy quilt!
Churndash Court in Miss Kate

Churndash Court in Miss Kate

This is officially Moda week here on the Sass blog. We have three projects made up in Moda fabric to share with you and we are kicking it off with this Churndash Court. We made this version of our Churndash Court pattern with a jelly-roll of Miss Kate by Bonnie and Camille. I love, love, love this version!
Bye Bye Quilts!

Bye Bye Quilts!

This weekend's theme was "Just Keep Sewing" and today's theme was "Ship it!". Below are a few of the quilts we have said good bye to for now! It may not look like much now that they are piled into boxes, but we did some major shipping this morning at the Orange Studio! We have officially shipped out 15 projects for Quilt Market! We will post all sorts of photos in a few weeks... so get ready!
Bugsy's Lexington Lane Quilt

Bugsy's Lexington Lane Quilt

We made this bed size Lexington Lane quilt over a year ago and failed to get any good photos! My little sister quickly claimed this one for her college bed and away it went. We all got together in Spokane this last week and I asked her to bring it to shoot a few photos.
