Working on Big Projects in Small(er) Spaces

Working on Big Projects in Small(er) Spaces

2014 is officially here, and with it came a few deadlines! First up, a fun quilt I designed that will appear in Quiltmaker this Spring. It is a twin size quilt and the first large project I have worked on in this new home, so I thought I would share some tips for making large projects in small spaces.

Quiltmaker Magazine has a theme to each of their issues. Jan/Feb '14 issue's theme was Color. We all know I love color. So I jumped on the opportunity to create something colorful! I also love geometry. For this quilt, I took an equilateral triangle, and cut it into 6 equal pieces.

Dig into your scrap bins and start creating this scrappy paper-pieced circle quilt! This is a great pattern for beginners trying to learn new quilting techniques and experienced quilters alike. Basic foundations, easy curved piecing and a little bit of applique to boot!

Hello lovelies! I have had a great time reading all the blogs on Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Blog Tour. I am lucky enough to work for Quiltmaker for my day job! So, today I have blog posts in both places. For you that means more opportunities to win goodies!
