Paradox Point QAL - Block 1

Happy New Year everyone! We are kicking off our Paradox Point QAL today and sharing our first blocks. We have beautiful blocks from Kristy and Juli, and a special appearance from my little sister! It is always fun when we can get her excited about sewing, so when she started pulling fabrics for this quilt, we were ecstatic.

Paradox Point QAL - Basic Info & Choosing Fabric

Paradox Point Quilt Along

Hello Everyone! We are planning a Paradox Point Quilt Along for 2017. We had so much fun making the first few quilts, both Kristy and Juli wanted to make another! So, we are going to sew along with you =] We would love to have the quilts done this summer before we start working on our super secret Fall projects, so we are going to make a block every 2 weeks.

Arcadia Avenue - Target Practice (block 12)

We are a few days late! Sorry about that. It has been slightly chaotic around here these days. We closed on our new house on Friday and moved all of our belongings on Saturday. I have slowly been unpacking and can now see the floor in my sewing studio and kitchen... my priorities =].

We are a day late but not a dollar short today! I hope everyone enjoyed their long holiday weekend. We sure did! Caught up on some things around the house, did a little sewing and cooked lots of summery food.

How to Fussy Cut Fabric

I love fussy-cutting! This might be because of my long term love affair with novelty prints! I have quite a hoard of them stashed away and only cut into them when their full cuteness can shine! One way to do that is by fussy-cutting. Just in case you are sitting at home thinking, “What the heck is fussy-cutting?”

Welcome to post 6 of the Arcadia Avenue QAL! Today we are sharing our Spiderweb blocks! This block has a secondary hexagon that goes in an opposite direction of the block. Our weather has warmed up so we finally took some photos outside!
