Paradox Point Table Runner

Paradox Point Table Runner

We just shared our second Paradox Point blocks for the quilt along and now feels like the perfect time to share this amazing table runner. Juli Kieny whipped up this table runner in a few hours using two of the Paradox Point blocks.

Paradox Point QAL - Block 1

Happy New Year everyone! We are kicking off our Paradox Point QAL today and sharing our first blocks. We have beautiful blocks from Kristy and Juli, and a special appearance from my little sister! It is always fun when we can get her excited about sewing, so when she started pulling fabrics for this quilt, we were ecstatic.

Paradox Point QAL - Basic Info & Choosing Fabric

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the first post of our Paradox Point Quilt Along. Today we are going to discuss the basic info needed to make the quilt and choose fabric! Choosing fabrics is one of my favorite parts of quilting. I try to picture a pattern in as many different color combos as possible! This post is chalk full of information, so stick with it!

Paradox Point Quilt Along

Paradox Point Quilt Along

Hello Everyone! We are planning a Paradox Point Quilt Along for 2017. We had so much fun making the first few quilts, both Kristy and Juli wanted to make another! So, we are going to sew along with you =] We would love to have the quilts done this summer before we start working on our super secret Fall projects, so we are going to make a block every 2 weeks.

And last but not least, here is the show-stopping version Kristy made in Kaffe Fassett fabrics! One of our favorite things to do with patterns is see how they play with different styles. I think Paradox Point looks great in just about everything! We have 4 very different versions - one rainbow with solids, one featuring a fabric line, one cool colored batik quilt and this warm one with lots of large prints! Each has it's own flare and beauty.

Happy Saturday! We are kicking the weekend off with this batik beauty sewn by one of our good friends, Gitte Hopkins. This cool color scheme of this Paradox Point makes me swoon and these rich batiks - oh my! Gitte had a blast sewing this quilt and even made some special piped binding as a finishing touch!

The next version of Paradox Point we are sharing is this beauty made by Juli Kieny. It is a complete 180 from the cover quilt and I love that! Instead of creating a rainbow or gradating the fabrics in color order, Juli paired two contrasting fabrics from one fabric line for each arrow block. The contrasting blocks plus the dark background makes this quilt a total slam dunk!
Introducing Paradox Point!

Introducing Paradox Point!

Okay, so most of you have already seen this quilt a few times, either on Instagram or in our Quilt Market recap post! But we thought we could have a few posts on Paradox Point this week to answer some questions about the pattern and share some details about each quilt. We have four different versions to share with you, and today we are kicking it all off with this gorgeous cover quilt!
