Lullaby Lane - Take 6 September 20 2013, 0 Comments

This is where it all began! Two years ago (almost exactly!) I received a call from the boyfriend. He had just became an uncle! Brianna Lynn came into the world and I decided to make a quilt (surprise, surprise =P ). I found a fat-quarter pack of pink, black and white jungle animals prints that I thought would be a perfect to start with. There was one main print that I could not bring myself to cut up so I built the quilt around it. A few borders and rows later, Lullaby Lane was born.

This original quilt has a few differences than the current pattern.

  • It is much scrappier
  • There is an extra border
  • I add 3D scallops to the edge with a Quick Points Ruler

Here is Brianna on her blanket almost 2 years ago. This photo makes me smile! It looks like she is trying to read her name and she has her own personal guard dog =]

I added some minky to the back so it would be nice and cozy through the winter. Look at that smile! What a little cutie.

I met Brianna this summer at a wedding. She is growing up so fast! Still adorable though =] Here we are in May this year! I can't believe she is turning two next week! Happy Early Birthday Brianna!
