Everything Blue Block Hop September 12 2013, 3 Comments

Back in mid July, Susie from Clothworks emailed and asked I would be interested in participating in a Block Hop and some free fabric. Free fabric!?! (insert silly grin) Needless to say, I agreed. Now, here we are in September (yikes! where did 2013 disappear to?) showing off our blocks!

When I saw the list of other bloggers/quilting extraordinaires, I got a little nervous! Who am I among all these household names!? Marsha McCloskey, Pat Sloan, Heidi Pridemore, Bev Getschel and Margie Ullery just to name a few.

We all were sent some yardage of Marsha McCloskey's Everything Blue fabric line. I added in the two solids.

I tried a few different ideas, but I finally settled on a version of the Evening Star block. It is a quick and fun paper-pieced block. I think it turned out well!

All these fun blue blocks will be put into a quilt that will be donated to a local charity by the Clothworks staff. Be sure to check out all the different blocks made using one fabric line! If you want, you can join the fun and make a block for the quilt too!  Just read the details and submit your blocks. Thanks for stopping by!
