Elaine's Diamond Alley Quilt June 21 2014, 1 Comment
Sue Kistler sent us photos of a beautiful Diamond Alley quilt she quilted for the maker, Elaine Averill. The quilt turned out fabulously and the quilting is just stunning!
Elaine used assorted Marcia Derse prints for her diamonds. I love the scrappy look of all the different fabrics! She used a beige tone-on-tone for the background and added a slightly darker beige/brown outer border.
Sue took some great photos of the quilt. I love this one draped over a wagon of some sort in the middle of a field. Look at all those colorful diamonds! Sue's quilting is absolutely amazing! She quilted zentangle style quilting in the setting triangles, wavy lines across the diamonds and sashing and an amazing geometric circle motif in the border.
