Elsie Stone's Diamond Alley Quilt

Elsie Stone sent us pictures of her gorgeous Diamond Alley quilt and we had to share them! She used assorted red fabrics for the diamonds, ranging from light pink to dark maroon, and a crisp white for the background. She made the Diamond Alley quilt pattern larger by adding 2 more vertical rows, making a total of 39 diamonds, and large white borders that float the diamonds.

Elsie quilted a free-motion swirls and scrolls allover the quilt. I love the texture the quilting gives the quilts. It is that perfect crinkle look! Elsie bound the quilt in one of the red fabrics used as a diamond. Below is a photo of Elsie's fabric placing strategy! I love "in the works" photos like these!

Big thank you to Elise for sending us photos of this beautiful quilt! We love seeing the quilts and projects made by you. If you make this pattern or any other of our Sassafras Lane Designs patterns, we would love to feature the quilt on here! Just shoot us an email! The Diamond Alley quilt pattern is available here in PDF and paper form! Happy Sewing!
