Main Street Quilt Sew and Tell
Today, I would like to share Annette Matthies' Main Street quilt! She took our Mystery Class back in 2012 when we taught this one. Surprisingly she chose colors very similar to our cover quilt! She chose a turquoise for the accent color instead of a dark grey and I love how it looks.

My Mom (aka Wolf Creek Quilting) finished quilting this quilt a few days ago and tromped through the snow to snap a few photos on the fence.

She quilted giant swirls in the flying geese blocks and greek keys in the pinwheel/bear claw blocks. The sashing and border were quilted with a feather fill. She used a lime green thread that looks great on both the white background and the batiks.

This pattern is a great one for jelly rolls, bali pops and other 2 1/2" pre-cut strips. Annette used a batik roll that contained lime, turquoise, blue and purple fabrics. She combined her batiks with regular quilting cottons for the white background and turquoise accent. I love the looks of combining batiks and none-batiks!

We love seeing our patterns made up by you. If you make this pattern or any other of our Sassafras Lane Designs patterns, we would love to feature the quilt on here! Just shoot us an email! The Main Street quilt pattern is available here in PDF and paper form! Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
